Well, love, Avery Ranch is INSIDE the wonderful city of AUSTIN...even though we are in Williamson County.

And depending on where you are in Avery Ranch, it's either Round Rock or Leander school district. Correct?

Correct...our street is not even consistent from odd side to even side...changing in mid-block. We are right on the line.

1800??? For a studio in Round Rock? Something is out of whack here.

I would go on Craigslist and look for a sublet instead. Its a bit more work but for a studio in RR he would be paying far less than 1800. FAR less.

Is La Frontera supposed to sound upscale? I think it translates to "the border"... Perhaps they mean the border between Austin and Round Rock.
.. doesn't sound that fancy!

I guess that's what they are trying to do with the area. Why wouldn't you think "La" doesn't sound fancy:

Sorry for the late comment here but... Wow, $1800/mo on a 3-month short term lease IS high specially considering their current rates are at less than $600! And that does not yet include the pet deposit, pet fee and pet rent!

We rented a studio apartment when we were building our home for $600 p/month last year on a month to month basis (not in Round Rock about 20 miles from where you want to be) - it was pretty awful 1980s old and a/c and plumbing were unreliable, but we didn't want to pay $1000 or more (every dollar saved was going to the new home instead). If you want to stay at La Frontera, you have to pay the going rate. There weren't many places prepared to take on a month to month, just keep looking or go to an Extended Stay - at least they're clean and affordable.
