Can someone help me determine the closest hospital/emergency room to Lakeway Elementary?

Soon, it will be the Lakeway Regional Medical Center, but I'm sure you already knew that. The closest is probably Seton NW.

It is only 12.3 miles to Seton SW in OakHill

from: 30.222882,-97.893333 to: 1701 Lohmans Crossing Rd, Austin, TX 78734-5157 (Lakeway Elementary School) - Google Maps

It is 21.4 miles to Seton NW.

In any case, in any kind of serious emergency it would be more prudent to call EMS as they can get to you faster and provide medical assistance on the way to the hospital.

Thanks....

I'm aware of the new hospital but have no knowledge regarding its proposed in service date.

I have a daughter who has a nut allergy and those of you familiar with this condition understand my concern. Thanks.

I have had to take my wife in to Seton SW twice for emergencies, she received very good and prompt care both times. I have read in another thread that for anything extremely serious or complicated they helicopter the patient from Seton SW to one of the larger Seton facilities.

I had my hand crushed in a tailgate - Seton NW was the closest ER they were fabulous.
Luckily we had been out at the lake and had a cooler full of ice - good tip, ice until you get to the E.R. It's kinda funny recalling that trip, we were flying down 1431, the State Police pulled my hubby over and there I am with my hand in the cooler. He took us seriously and bid us on our way (no ticket).
They were very prompt with dealing with my fingers - my wedding rings had to be cut off! to release the pressure built up. We were very thankful for their prompt action, care and attention.

on the flip side, can I warn you NOT to go to the urgent care on 620/Pecan Park (Nexcare) by Lakeline Mall. Saturday morning, my husband took the dog out early, while it was still dark. Long story short...the dog wrapped the leash around his legs and sprinted after a bunny. My husband fell, and cut his head on one of our porch steps...LOTS of blood. He went there, they glued it, no mention of a possible concussion. Didn't even check his eyes or anything. Fast forward 4 days and he's falling down, repeating himself, can't see out of his eye. He's at Cedar Park medical getting a cat scan now...

Westlake Medical Center on Bee Caves Rd. has a small emergency room. We used it for stitches needed by my son after a car accident. It is a small facility but not crowded. We were served well.

Don't know if it is a good choice for a food allergy or not. But it is relatively close to the Lake Travis area.

Seton NW ER is probably the shortest wait. Lots of their business used to be from Williamson County, but now with the new hospitals that have opened up there things have died down. They even expanded their ER prior to that happening, which in retrospect may not have been such a good idea.

Plus, Seton NW has other ERs nearby... North Austin Medical is right there, and Seton Main and Heart Hospital aren't far off. Seton SW, on the other hand, is more isolated -- not a lot of other ER options around it.

There is also a 24-hr ER at Westlake Medical Center, 360 & Bee Caves Rd. That might actually be the closest ER (technically). But it is tiny, and I'm sure they would be transferring anything remotely acute. Lots of doctors live near it, though...
