Nah. You'd be branded a red neck because you're wearing a cowboy hat. I'm assuming you would be wearing the chaps but no jeans.

And no one would notice, or care.

Wait. That would be most of Austin proper.

Believe me, I do understand this. I think its better to be a turn-the-other-cheek, love-your-enemies kind of person. But there are times someone pushes all the right buttons...

I DON'T understand why some here feel justified in criticizing whole groups of people just b/c of what the OP said.

They won't know what him 'em.

Exactly. In my earlier post, I was trying to say what Steve said, but he said it very much better. And just because this one conservative OP was derogatory and rude doesn't mean all conservatives are that way any more than it does when a liberal is derogatory and rude. One thing I like about this forum is that there are those who are quick to argue and engage in spirited debate, but also plenty of people who are peacemakers and just want to be helpful, regardless of the opinions expressed. That is the real "live and let live" spirit of Austin.

The farther out you go, the more consdervative Christian you get. I would recommend living in a suburb 30 miles out of town and buy a Ford Expedition. The profits from your $800/month gasoline bill will ensure that rapidly expanding muslim families overseas have food on the table.
