Sorry to hear that. When I moved to Lakeway 9 years ago (don't live there any more) I got a job right away so did my boyfriend. Did you see if Lakeway Inn is hiring?
I hated the job I got up there and quit, went to a temp agency(Kelly) and got a job in North Austin. It's about a 1 hour commute, not bad. So if you haven't looked outside of Lakeway, I would also try that.
