What is the city code for building a retaining wall along a property line? Or neighbor is the one with the retaining wall. They are currently replacing the wall that surrounds their entire lot, except a partial spot between our houses. This partial spot of their wall is over on our side of the line. Can we require them to move their wall over completely on their side?

Yes you can. They can't do this without a permit, or even with a permit if it is on your property.

You can report work being done without a permit here as well as file a complaint if they are building on your property.

City of Austin - Code Compliance

Check here to see if they have a permit

My neighbors property is on the side above mine on a hill. The hill over the years has pushed our shared fence downward pushing the hillside down as well bending the fence downward toward my property. The fence is completely slopped over on my side with a hill and trees that are now on my side of the property line. The posts in the ground where the fence originated is still on the property line. Is this my neighbors responsibility to fix?

Traditionally good neighbors will split the cost.

But technically it's on one side or the other. Usually if it's a standard wood fence, if you are on the side where the fence is flat (the "nice side") then it's your fence. If you face the posts/bracing, it's usually the neighbors.

Read it again. It refers to being in an aircraft belonging to another without permission.

I would be very careful of asking for legal advice in online forums.
