I just read an article that said Bill Clinton shared an apartment here in 1972 when he was helping to run George McGovern's presidential campaign in Texas. Just to satisfy my dumb curiosity, does anyone know where he lived when he was here? Thanks.

He lived at 600 South 1st Street behind Whataburger near Barton Springs and Lamar. Gene Burd a professor at UT told me.

Knowing that he lived here in '72, I'd be careful if I ever found a used El Camino for sale. Don't know if there is enough disinfectant in the entire city.

Bill Clinton reportedly owned a 1970 El Camino at one time. Speaking to a group of GM employees, Clinton joked, "It had astro-turf in the back. I don't want to tell you what the astro-turf was for.".
