So, I will be having a banner in the sky asking my girlfriend for her hand in marriage.. I'm trying to figure out where to do this at, but would prefer a semi-private place to do this, but since this will be up in the sky, it probably needs to be on the lake somewhere. I'm not too fond of doing it at Mt. Bonnell as it's not really "unique" since it's such a popular place, and the Oasis would be a nice place, but not quite private enough, unless maybe I have do this between lunch and supper (thinking). I don't want her to get the idea of what's going to happen.. Any suggestions on where to go for this with good sky visibility? The lake is NOT a must. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Might be a crazy idea but we were just horseback riding in Spicewood and the sunset was beautiful. I thought (as my husband galloped by and I was on my extremely nice slow steady horse)....this could be quite romantic. This one place does trail rides that take the horses in the water by the lake.

Or rent a boat on Lake Travis. We were out there a few weeks ago and it wasn't busy at all. (Early Thursday evening)

Thanks! That's actually a pretty good idea.. I just need to convince her of that! Thanks chris4t4!

Any other suggestions from others? So far I do like the horseback suggestion!

My husband's cousin did it at the Oasis. It was a weeknight with very few people there. But considering she cancelled the wedding a week before, it might not be such a good idea!
