Down by 8.7%, that is.....have they cut the budget back in Austin yet?

Last I heard they were debating cutting back first responder services, library, court help, and help for the needy.......

Round Rock's taxes dropped by 21.8%, and Leander by over 20%, so the burbs are hurting as well, actually far worse..

They based the budget based on projected declines in sales tax revenues....last I heard they were still higher than projected, but not sure now. Libraries and pool hours took the hit on the budget, as well as police recruits. I can't think of any specific 'help for the needy' that was cut, nor was EMS/FD specifically affected, I don't think.

I'll find it on the web when I have time this weekend(what they cut)....last I heard/found, those were potential cuts on the table, but sounds like the yearly budget was appropriated already with those cuts made, and the drops in ST incorporated in the same.....per the burbs, I'll check those out as well, though they may be more opaque than the city sites...
