Why are some of the post boxes bigger than others? Some of them fit my screen and then some of them I have to use the scroll bar on the bottom.

Why? I mean, shouldn't they all be the same size?

Do you mean when you are typing them or reading them? I don't understand? Aren't boxes longer when the thread is longer?

It's the box the text is in that someone types. For instance, this box. Once in awhile the box of text doesn't fit on the screen and I have to use the scroll bar at the bottom.

Sorry if I'm not explaining it very well. I have discovered sometimes it is difficult to convey what it is I'm trying to say via words I'm typing out.

It's probably due to people typing a lot of words for the section labelled "Location:"

If you type something short, like "Location: Austin" your threads will fit in the standard size. If you type something like "Location: Austin, a City I Can't Wait to Leave" you've put in too many characters, and you force your threads to be wider. (Which makes them much more difficult to read.)

It's one of the options you can choose when you edit your profile.

You'll see it in the upper right hand corner of a post, right below Join Date. If you look at this post, you will see mine says Location: Loudoun County, Virginia. If the poster did not choose that option or has not edited his profile, you won't see it at all.

BTW, I meant no diss on Austin. It's a cool town (especially the bats!!!!!). It's just one of those things I've noticed--the people who type too many characters in this field also seem to be the people who like to write something negative. And they're often the same people who go on lots and lots of rants, which is ironic because overfilling that field ends up making their rants more difficult to read. In a strange way, it's a bit of karma.

This morning when I viewed city data Austin without logging on all of the posts were too wide. Oh well. I suppose I should move onto something more important.

OK, WHO DIDN'T FACE THE TOILET PAPER THE RIGHT WAY WHEN PUTTING IT ON THE ROLL???
