I have found that some of the family practice docs and not specialists are the best as far as really caring about your health.
ever try acupuncture? Seriously........might be a even better alternative than family practice.....

Ugh. I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this; it's exactly what we found in Phoenix with so many doctors, even family practice.

I hope you find someone who cares more than that and can get to the root of your problem soon!

Acupuncture, like most modalities, is great for what it's good for (I've used it, in combination with "traditional" Western medicine - accupuncture being traditional Eastern medicine - on myself, a horse, and a dog, with good results every time). It's no more the ultimate solution to every medical problem than, say, antibiotics are.

orngkat, I'm sorry you're going through that experience. How are you finding your specialists?

Also, we have a tendency as a society to avoid problems until they are chronic. The best solution is to maintain a healthy regimen, and avoid those chronic situations, that eat up a ton of money and time....also, hard to get insured with pre-existing conditions as well, in a damned if you do OR don't situation.....

And I still think our entire medical system as a whole is really really lacking......there has gotta be a better way.

There is, but the "unholy triangle" of Docs-Drug Companies-Insurance Companies won't profit nearly as much, so we're going to be stuck with whatever pork laden mess the Gov't comes up with...
