am just starting to search for a place - don't want to keep up with a yard, want to live as central as possible (78704 is ideal) and would like something new. Anyone know anyone who's moving to Bridges on the Park? I took kind of a hard hat tour of it this weekend and love all the views, trees and idea of being on Town Lake (I row). Was good to see where I'd actually live - everywhere else just shows a brochure w/ floorplan, etc. Really liked it and could move in November rather than waiting for other places but like to hear what kinds of people are going where, etc. I get the sense the park & 78704 places have more people living rather than just investing, which is important to me...

Default Bridges on the Park Owner

We looked around South Austin and even put money down at the condos across from Maudies, but they still haven't started. From our search, Bridges had the best location and was the most sure proposition and so we bought one there. There are cheaper options a mile or two south, like Travis Heights condos, but then you give up the proximity to downtown and town lake.

We can't wait to move in!

Travis Heights condos are still great! They are directly across the street from Stacey Park and the area is quite serene.

I have just been showing downtown condos and there are some great units available now.

The Milago has terrific views and the units are just beautiful. We met a gentleman who lived there on our tour and he loves it!

I saw that there is a one bedroom available at the Nokonah...that is a great option as well... I've heard it has a good resident to investor ratio.

Bridges IMHO seems overpriced in comparison to the condo projects downtown. I don't think the units are selling nearly as fast there either (probably due to the pricing).

Location is good, but some of the units are fronting Lamar so you may have to deal with traffic noise depending on your unit.
