Hello

My husband and I are moving to Killeen around at beginning of August and we are looking for a Vietnamese nanny for our five month old daughter. We are both in the army and are stationed at Ft. Hood. We prefer to have her live with us and we will drive her home on the weekends but we will be okay if she comes over daily as well. Does anyone know of someone older women who would be interested?

Thanks,

Diane

Default Response to Vietnamese nanny

Hi:

Did you ever find someone for this position?

I actually taught at a Vietnamese university last year and one of the students who assisted is interested in such a position. She will be wrapping up her masters degree this year so would not be available until maybe summer 2010. She is smart and kind and I think would do a great job. Her brother is about 10 years younger and she practically raised him. Her eventual goal is to study in the US and wants prior time here before making that jump. She speaks very good English.

Let me know if this is something that would be of interest.

Ben

Default Vietnamese Nanny

Ben,
I, too, am looking for a Vietnamese Nanny in Waco beginning in the late summer 2010. Is your contact still available?

Thanks,
Ian

Why Vietnamese? So the baby will grow up bilingual. It's very common to want a nanny who speaks your native language so the baby will be exposed to both English and the other language. That way the baby's older relatives (who probably only speak Vietnamese) will be able to communicate with the baby.

The OP's screen name is Diane Vo, so I am assuming either she or her husband is Vietnamese.
