Hi All,

This morning Round Rock Police gave me ticket and the ticket description is "Trraffic Violation - CITATION VIO 1 Cut Across Private Property To Make A Turn".

I entered into the Gas Statation and took a turn to avoid the traffic.
I have to go to Round Rock Municipal Court to deal with this issue.

My questions are
1. How much fine i need to pay
2. What will be the impact on my driving history and insurance?

Thanks
Aadil

I am sure the fine is listed somewhere on the citation that they gave you. If it's not then call the court and they can tell you what the fine is.

It is a moving violation so you can more then likely take defensive driving for it. The offense will probably count as two points on your license. When you get to 6 I believe the state charges a surcharge for you to keep your license.

As far as how it affects your insurance that would be up to each individual company. All are different when it comes to dealing with tickets.

It should all be explained on your ticket, at least it is when you get one in Austin.

It is not a big deal unless you already have lots of other citations on your record or get several more in the future. Taking defensive driving will take the citation off of your record but not save you much on the total cost.

When you call they can tell you what to do. I did online defensive driving and it was not a bad gig if you have to do it. Just pay attention to the dates/deadlines!!!
