I'm trying to not be judgmental. But what is an undie run? And should I be concerned for their behaviors? I guess if it is for cause marketing then it is good.

Apparently you're not familiar with college campuses or their traditions. Go ahead and google for "naked mile Michigan".

A lot of the schools (fraternities / sorrorities) that host an undie run collect the clothing to be provided to those that are less fortunate. It's a great way to experience your youth!

Looks like this goes on all over the country.

Orange County, California

As you said, UT.

UCLA

Arizona State, University of Wisconsin, University of Maryland, among others.

Colorado State University

Nothing unique to UT, in other words.

What's the difference between underwear and a bathing suit?

The level of translucency when wet.
In the case of certain brands of boxers, the open seam (and no button).

Hey everyone! I'm one of the co-creators of the philanthropic Undie Run. College-aged people come to the Undie Run in the clothes their donating and shed them off their back to local social service agencies. Austin hosted the 2nd philanthropic Undie Run in the world! San Diego was the first back in 2007. If you'd like to know more please follow us! Facebook fan page search "The Austin Undie Run" or Twitter @undierun - Bare Because We Care (Weston)
