We are moving next week! We have 2 days here after the movers load us and one full day to just play. I've booked us at the Radisson by congress bridge... my goal is to relax and eat some great food.

So, my question is where would you eat if it were your last day in Austin? I prefer something downtown.

We are planning to go to Jaime's (sp?) on Red River; it's my husband's favorite. Where else? We have a 7 year old, do it'll need to be a place with a kids menu. He's not an adventurous eater.

If I were moving out of Texas I'd want to have some brisket And Chuy's jalapeno dip.

I recently had friends in town with kids and had a hard time finding a restaurant that was kid friendly. If it were me, I'd want Mexican or BBQ, so my choices would be Iron Cactus or Green Mesquite - both have kid freindly menus.

Indigo, you are so right... we need barbecue! We've never been to Iron Cactus or Green Mesquite!

I really like Chilli's, but I would not eat there if it were my last meal in Austin.
Chilli's exists in lots of places.

I'd like to say some fancy restaurant, but honestly it would be some of the more plain ones that I would miss the most.

My last meal would probably Maudie's or Thundercloud Subs.

Maybe the Salt Lick if I were in the mood for BBQ.
