hard to imagine what this country might have been like without his influence.
Certainly he saved the Labor Party.
1st PM I remember was Malcolm Fraser, so slightly before my time, but he had a big impact.
Medicare as it is today was because of him as well (Medibank as it was back then).
RIP.

We are mourning with you, nothing but condolences on Radio Sport NZ.

Very sad. Could have easily been me, was hit in the helmet when playing rep age grade cricket, helmet was a complete write off.....there is a very fine line.

Very sad news. Genuinely thought he'd make it.

And yes, thoughts to the bowler. Can't imagine how distraught he must be. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did it.

That's the scary and sad part.. that this does happen enough times.. and he was just so unlucky.

I think most people did, because its kind of unfathomable that someone might die playing cricket. His poor family...

Old Tonesy can't seem to stop p!ssing all over himself these days lol.

I love this quote.

"Another week. Another wasted opportunity by the Abbott government to score a political win. And another reminder of one of the simplest lessons in politics and life: respect is a two-way street. On that critical front, the Abbott government has failed time and again," Albrechtsen wrote in her column for The Australian on Tuesday.
