They have a sickness when it comes to children? It's like that all over Australia. If you need help they ignore you.

In Canberra, and everywhere else in Australia, you will never ever know your neighbours name, they will never say hello. You will never find anyone to be friends with in a life time? They will never invite you over in a life time? They will never offer you anything in a life time? How do these people give to charity when it comes to religion? All they are good at doing is calling the police, going to court, complaining to certain companies, etc. No one helps you with anything, they are very good at being rude and giving people the stare of death, there is no sign, feel, talk, or anything of religion, I think there is no religion in this country. I have never in my entire life seen any Australians praying. Are they too imbarressed to pray to God? Does any one here believe in God who created them and the world to live in as a test for the here after which is Heaven? All you hear in this country from the people and on tv is racist bull**** about religion made up and repeated for the last 15 years or so about Muslims being terrorists ever since that made up bull**** on tv in America about September 11 about 2 buildings being demolished and purposely and falsely put on Muslims just to make the whole world hate them when really it was an inside job done by your own fellow Americans so you white stupid people in Australia rather than calling Muslims terrorists get your facts strait and call your own white people in America terrorists. I rest my case. I am not stupid like yous and do not follow the crowd. I have a brain and I use it. In Canberra they have no understanding when it comes to anything, especially if you have kids. Why don't they just let kids be kids instead of yelling at them, staring at them, chasing after them, tying then down, yelling at the parents, everyone has kids, they have kids, you have kids, we all use to be kids, so why treat other people and their kids so rudely? It's sickening, we want to be free and happy like normal sane human beings. Why are people so angry and full of hate? Does any one here know what happiness is? Does any one here know what love is? Does any one here believe in God? Does any one here want to be nice and friendly?
I guess not. Everyone here is different than me and my family. We don't fit in. Every one hates us. We seem different to them? I don't understand why?

In the Gold Coast it is horrible. All any one cares about is money and being bossy. If you want to return anything to any store or business, or if you have been ripped off and you want to get your money transferred back into your account through your bank in the Gold Coast all you will get there is the yelling of your life right in your face, they will literally yell and shout in your face when it comes to money, that is the most nastiest service I have ever encountered in my life. It is crazy and rude up there. I couldn't take any more, I was there for a few days and everyday was yucky. There was no enjoyment of beach life at all. It was a crappy holiday for me and my family. Waste of thousands of dollars. Not cheap going on a holiday in this country. More like a drag than a holiday and sucks your money dry too.

In Melbourne, I've only been in the airport, it was horrible, some woman came up to my 3 year old child and grabbed her and was taking her some where just because she was playing happily a few meters away from me which does not mean she is lost, clearly as I am watching her from the seat, I don't know where she was taking her, so I quickly got off my chair and took my child from here, she then walked off without saying anything, strange? What was she doing to my child? Another woman later on in a different part of the airport, a cleaner that works there, came up to my two kids, a 2 year old and a 3 year old, and took them away down the airport as she does not want them with my mum which is their grandma. Strange? Who does she think she is? Why doesn't she just bloody mind her own business and do her cleaning work? Melbourne airport has a lot of weirdos there. That was one of the worst experiences of my life in this country.

I rate Australia a big zero.

1) There is no human communication, they are wild animals that haven't been trained how to talk to people and invite them over for a visit and a friendly chat.

2) They have no happiness and peace and love in their hearts if they know what that means.

3) No friends and visiting in a life time.

4) They hate and control other peoples kids and are only nice to their own kids.

5) They are hippocrites, they tell you off for everything that you do, but if they do it it's ok.

6) They never smile and if they do it's fake it does not mean anything.

7) You will never understand them.

8) They never give anything not even a piece of food or help, they are that greedy, no hospitality at all, never in your life.

9) The only places you will ever visit and be taken to is the police station and court.

10) People try to get the government to take your kids off you even for no bloody proper valid reason.

11) Life is so boring you will want to commit suicide like all the other depressed people here with anxiety.

12) People are boring, no sense of humour, angry, racist, serious, crazy, crook, etc.

13) Too may expensive traffic fines and parking fines that will leave you no money for food for the rest of your life if you get fined every day or week or month.

14) It's just school or work, nothing else. No life.

15) No positive people, all negative.

16) Everyone has a dog and or cat.

17) Everyone actually eats pig here, even though it is against every religion on this earth. And is not for human consumption. I was right, they're all animals. Strange?

18) Everyone drinks a lot of alcohol.

19) Everyone takes drugs.

20) A lot of people smoke, especially people in wheel chairs, strange?

21) Houses cost nearly a million dollars now, even if it's a piece of **** in Sydney. No one will ever be able to pay it off in a life times of work, especially with fines totalling thousands of dollars every few months and bills costs are through the roof, so expensive here.

22) Lots of bullies on busses and at schools.

23) People are overall rude and crappy.

24) Commercial properties costs millions of dollars, there is no bloody way you can ever pay it off and make any profit out of it in a life time, same with the houses. Life is **** here, full stop.

25) Cars cost 25 times more here than most other countries. This country is a bloody joke. It's a waste of life working to pay anything off.

26) Everyone is stressed and evil.

27) The medical system is a fraud. Doctors leave you suffering, even when they know what the answer is they don't tell you or help you at all. And they leave you for months going to appointments taking medications, to GPs to specialists to scans to hospital. Actually they make you suffer for years before referring you to surgery which also takes months and years to wait your turn. What hell.

28) The law/system is not fair, it is strange, dodgy, weird, horrible, racist, in court. It takes years where as in other countries it would take a few minutes. You have to get a lawyer and barrister which takes all your money costs more than $10000 and gets you no where only with a guilty punishment. You can't get more ****ed than that.

29) Life is hell here, and the Australians are proud of themselves. Ha Ha Ha, what a joke.

30) No proper food. All there is is burgers all day, KFC, Mcdonalds, Hungry Jacks, what a joke.

31) No where to go, no family, no friends, no relatives. Just hell.

32) No religion.

33) No personalities, everyone copies the dogs, like a heard of cattle.

34) Hard work, no time for rest or life.

35) Too restricted, no freedom.

36) So many murderers on the loose because the police is too stupid to catch them.

37) People give you the stare of death for nothing instead of just letting everyone and themselves enjoy life.

38) Everything is lengthy and difficult, like getting your passport done, instead of getting it renewed on the spot you have to do several things and it takes weeks and you have to wait to get it in the mail. Life is hard here. The people think that they are living better than other countries. Bull ****. This is one of the worst. America is the nastiest.
When you go to a party, does everyone leave? You must be a barrel of laughs......said nobody ever.

Seldom if ever have I seen such a load of drivel as "hon"s post. In many visits there I cannot recall a single instance of rudeness, and people have invariably been pleasant.

To be accepted in some rural NSW towns, especially places like Guyra, moving there from city areas and interstate may find they are not accepted as local unless they have lived in the rural area for 25 years and have three generations living there preciously. I have found when visiting Tasmania, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland much friendlier and welcoming.

Haven't been to any NSW rural towns myself, but surely it's not that different? Also it seems that you're comparing moving into the towns in NSW whilst visiting others in different states, which is quite a large difference. I'd just assume that most towns in all states and territories have the same sort of attitude (i.e. nice to visitors, and a little colder to new residents.)

Darwin hasn't been mentioned. It's the only place I've been, and to a North American, it is amazingly friendly.

Small towns in general are quite suspicious of newcomers, and I suppose that is just the way it is.
A small inland town would also be quite different to a small coastal town, due to the fact that tourists to inland areas are infrequent as well.
Yeah this generational thing can be quite an eye opener, and remember one place I was at a person's surname actually was important, and we were admonished for speaking about someone with a certain surname.
This was absurd to someone coming from a large metropolitan area, but obviously this was/is important to them.

While Hon's post perhaps overstated detail, resulting in predictable rebuke, breaking it down point by point, one would find it hard to say wrong on a lot of issues. Obviously some points are over the top like 'life is hell', well it may be a lot of things, but one must be suffering deeply to find it 'hell'. Other issues raised, have all been brought up on numerous occasions. Just not all usually impacting on any one individual.

Back to original question. Most friendliest place in Australia? Wouldn't have a clue. I live in Perth, which is certainly very reserved and friendly would not be a word that comes to mind. Dethatched. Self absorbed. But I don't want to pin these things solely on Perth. I don't find anywhere that stands out as outstandingly friendly. Few outstandingly hostile.
Some small towns perhaps. Probably Melbourne or Sydney perhaps, maybe Cairns, but more due to high tourist numbers and migrants. Darwin wasn't to bad either, but again due to a mixture of people abounding there.
I find soul missing in Australia wherever the locality. Again it also depends on what regards as 'friendly' is, or just plain good manners.
