There not trying to "brand" the word Anzac (ie they're not trying to copyright it), they're trying to come up with a motif for the 100 year anniversary "brand". Seems like a waste of time and money. And since when did Anzac day need branding?

I don't get it, why? It's not another corporate exploitation thing is it?

It's some jobsworth who needs to justify their job.

What do people think branding is? The whole 'Australia Remembers - 1945-1995' that formed the theme to Anzac Day celebrations was branding. It's just an effort to make a theme for the commemoration of a particular milestone. Branding isn't always associated with advertising. It's about giving something a particular theme or character.

This is a case of bad wording. "ANZAC" is protected by law, no one can use the name for commercial gain.

It seems what they're doing is hiring a bunch of PR and advertising guys to promote ANZAC day and try to get more people involved in the mourning.
Well it's certainly a corporate way of doing things but it's not about making money.
Welcome to Australia, so capitalistic that even how we mourn our war dead, is decided by guys in offices working in marketing!

It is Anzac Day in Australia and New Zealand today so I have reviewed three McCain Pub Size meals. These products are Australian and are available in New Zealand supermarkets. My favorite of the three meals is the Bangers & Mash. Even though someone on YouTube gave it a bad review, I quite like it. A modern edition of a traditional dinner plate. In close second is the Rich Beef Meatballs. I don't know if I liked this meal as much as the Bangers & Mash but it was still okay. In last place is the Spaghetti & Meatballs. The taste reminded me of charity food. I would recommend only my preferred two products. Not the Spaghetti & Meatballs. Happy Anzac Day everyone.

RIP - to all those brave Australians and New Zealanders who fought with such courage and who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

It's those who lost their lives, or who suffered terrible injuries, as well as there families that are important, and not some branding nonsense.
