Kill sharks before they attack humans? Australian state will do just that - World News

Sharks are the main reason I have not learned to surf in Santa Cruz, CA which is a great place to learn!

I'm a mosquito magnet and I bet I would also be a shark magnet as well

It's an endangered species that plays an important role in the ecosystem, we shouldn't be wholesale killing these things -_-

I posted a very similar thread. I agree, it's a knee-jerk reaction. It's their realm, we should respect that.

Funny that we decide to kill sharks, just when the movie Bait 3D hits cinemas? Just saying

..But yeah, Leave sharks alone. There's something strange about wanting to kill an animal, that's just going about it's business.

I agree...all these men who go out deer hunting...I always wondered why this makes them feel so proud I don't understand why they call it a sport. It is more like animal murder.

I don't think there's any mention of a wholesale cull of sharks just those close to beachgoers. I don't have a problem with the WA governments response in light of what's occured, most of the funding has been allocated to increased shark tracking and research which is the right priority imo.

..But even killing the odd shark that comes close to swimmers, is stupid IMO.

What about shark nets, like they have in South Africa?
