It's a tough pick. Perth has a very expensive cost of living, but wages are very good and jobs are not scarce. Perth is always very sunny and dry most of the time, and it is one of the most isolated of Australia's big cities. Brisbane isn't as dry, it's much closer to things, the cost of living is varied and duable, wages and jobs aren't bad - but they could be better. Melbourne is one big hub, and depending on what you do there are plenty of excellent paying jobs. Melbourne has one of the best jobs you can find, and the cost of living isn't bad either.

If you are an outdoor person, then pick Brisbane. If you like a relaxed and laid back city, then pick Perth. If you want a place with a fast-paced vibe, and most amenities you can think of - then Melbourne is it.
