What are the ingredients in this Australian lemonade? It won't be sold in the US so I'll have to make it from scratch.

Also, one recipe calls for one bottle of lemonade and the other recipe says 1 cup, which I assume is 8 oz. Is the bottled lemonade 8 oz?

Second recipe specifies cold cream but not the amount. First recipe says 1 cup of cream but uses less flour. Any ideas?

Both scone recipes look delicious and I want to try them.

Wow. My grandmother used to make lemonade scones. Haven't had one in so long. No idea how to make them though. Maybe get in touch with the CWA? I'm sure they'd be only too willing to help.

If I knew the brand name of the lemonade I might be able to find the list of ingredients. Normal lemonade ingredients are lemon, sugar and water. I'm assuming it's diluted in the bottle, not frozen concentrate

It's probably Kirks or Sprite.

I didn't realize it was soda so I will look for an all natural lemon soda since Kirks is all natural. Sprite is artificial.

Yeah lemonade in Australia is things like Sprite and 7Up. For the US equivalent of lemonade you'd ask for lemon squash/pub squash (brand like Solo and "Pub Squash"). Pub Squash, at the pub, is actually a great non-alcoholic drink.

We (I'm in New Zealand) usually use 1 can of lemonade, 1 bottle of cream, and 4 cups of self raising flour.

The can of lemonade is a 330mL can of sprite
The cream is a 300mL bottle

Also we use quite a bit of ordinary flour when rolling out / shaping the scones as the mixture is very sticky. I think it helps not to handle the dough too much. We kind of roll it out then just cut it into squares.

Plus we have on hand another bottle of cream to whip and use with jam for topping the cooked scones.

Welcome to CD!

How thick do you roll the dough?
