You do know the cost of the food, water, electricity, ferry to the mainland? It is a beautiful island but not many people live there if they do not work there. For those reasons.

thanks, yes I know about the increased costs for the basic stuff and considered that in my budget. My expenses will be higher, however there are also some savings (mainly by not needed a car).
