Should be "only" 13.5 hours, not 15 to LAX, not as if that would make it any less hellish. For me, the last 3 hours are the worst, like torture, the longest 3 hours of my life. I know it's almost over but not soon enough.

But, alas, we must endure such trials and tribulations to enjoy the US, which makes it all worth it. Have a great trip. It's just around the corner!

I know, can't believe it's only two months!

Yeah I don't really like long flights, especially when they don't have movies and stuff to pass the time with, but at least I'll be flying Qantas (still economy). Couldn't imagine flying JetStar or some budget airline that distance. I've been on coachrides and driven more than 12 hours, so it shouldn't be TOO bad, but then again I haven't done it before. Did you find it alot worse than a long plain or coach ride?

Yay. I actually flew Jetstar business class from syd to Honolulu once.. Food sucked but I was comfy. Spent a few days in Hawaii before flying to the mainland. My new favorite way to Adelaide is ANZ as I bypass Syd or Mel airports. I fly direct Auckland to Adl. Quicker and nicer to clear customs in Adelaide.

Where in the US are you planning to go?

Trek America 'Southern Sun', from LA to NY taking in most of the Southwest and South, should be awesome! Will spend 3 days in LA and NY on either side.
