Right now the car doesn't have an intercooler so I'm reluctant to run higher boost on pump gas. Considering running E85 but it's still a bit hard to find around here so I might just slap an intercooler on it and go for it. Motor should make somewhere between 900-1000HP on pump gas without too much trouble.

My buddy just picked up a low comp 632 BBC that we are putting a pair of 91mm Garrett's on. It's going into a 69 Camaro street car. Talking with some of the better known tuners this combo should easily make in excess of 2000HP and be very steetable and friendly.

Reply to other responses. Nascar motors make 800+HP from 358 inches but there is literally millions of dollars in those engine programs. Finding 1 additional HP could easily cost as much as 10K in research and testing so 900+ HP from a mild 505 is pretty impressive.

Top fuel HP numbers are a calculation based on ET. They figure that it takes somewhere around 10000 HP to run the numbers they are today. Keep in mind that they only run 1000 ft now and not the full 1320. The number is just a educated guess as the cars are actually spinning the tires all the way down the track. The 10000HP number is most likely conservative.

What heads are you using on this one? Sounds like a very fun possible 8 second street car once things are tuned in

If you are referring to my Cutlass they are am older set of 220 runner Pro-Toplines. The motor isn't really anything special as I had no cash when I built it. I have no doubt the car will run mid to high 9's once I change over to E85 or put the inter cooler in place. Problem is weight. With me in it the car weights 3850lbs. On a perfect pass on a cool night 9.20 - 9.30 could happen. No bad for a bunch of junk.

tHOSE ARE STILL GOOD HEADS. They still beat many "new" style heads. Shows a good selection of parts, even if on a tight budget works
