Interesting story about a NASCAR Modified from the early '70s.

Wow! That's some car.

I didn't become a fan until the mid-70's, going to Wall Stadium and New Egypt Speedway on a regular basis. By then, the switch to Pinto bodies was the big thing but there still were a few coupes still running.

Cool stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed it!

That's a little before my time too. I remember seeing pictures and reading about him/the car in the Area Auto Racing News (Dad's subscriptions). I grew up around the area dirt tracks (Flemington, Nazareth, Middletown mainly). We got to Wall Stadium for the Turkey Derby a couple of times and went to Oswego during Super DIRT Week. Beside Pocono and Dover, those were the only asphalt tracks I went to.

I never went to New Eqypt until I went 'home" on leave in the late '90s - by then they had covered it with dirt. I'm glad to see Wall Stadium is still around. It looked bleak for awhile.

I just love the history of it all.
