Good work to Kurt and the Finch gang for taking the Nationwide race at Daytona this evening. I'm pulling for the guy to get things together and move ahead with his career. This was a good step!
It was definitely a good win for him and it's also what he needed to not only get his confidence back, but also go give him a more positive look at things. I think he is on the right track now with a good showing at Infineon and now getting that win.
I was pulling for a few different drivers including Busch. I thought Danica had the strongest car but she didn't seem to be able to either push or maybe she didn't want to, not sure. Just before she got caught up in the wreck she was shuffled to the back which she was able to avoid happening up until that point. Not sure if other drivers simply got tired of pushing her all the time and left her alone or it just happened that way.. either way, tough result for her because she was strong early..
FWIW, I am not a fan of the pair racing.. glad its gone in CUP.
kurt did a great job in the NNS race. there was a cool in car shot of his dash panel with about 6 laps to go, and his gauges were glowing a solid red. i still wonder how that engine lasted the race at that point.
as for danica, it was tough finish for her because she had the car that could beat the field. she fell back and drove back to the front almost at will, and she had enough confidence to run up through the middle lane.

Agree, he is the reason I became a NASCAR fan in 2001.
