But I was so disgusted and turned off by her commercial that I just can't bring myself to cheer for her anymore. Prior to that commercial I thought she was this tough chic who was going to get it done using talent and skill in a male dominated world. I'll admit she's still got to have skill to land the pole, but I lost all respect at her willingness to do that commercial.
I agree with the gist of your post... and the sad part of NASCAR is the sponsors have too much SAY... bottom line was, no commercial, no sponsorship, no ride. That's the way it is with EVERY driver and EVERY sponsor and anyone in the future who might sponsor Danica is going to take advantage of her good looks... just like GoDaddy has done.

then you should be disgusted with ALL race drivers doing commercials. danica has done several go daddy commercials over the years, along with peak antifreeze and others. this is nothing new, and i see nothing wrong with any driver, male or female, using their assets to make money and stay in the public eye.

Good for her. She seems to have a good sense of humor about things and keeps on keeping on doing what she loves to do - race.

She's a smart chick who doesn't mind utilizing her assets, all of them. She is also a confessed girly girl who likes to do girl stuff when she is not wheeling a race car.

Trust me when I say if I'm paying you $15 to $20 million per season it will be conditional, my conditions.

I guess the other two feel a woman in a predominantly male sport can't act like a woman.

She wasn't even the one doing the kissing in the last commercial. So why hold it against her?

No doubt the sponsors should get a lot of say and they do off the track but once the green flag waves, sponsors should be spectators like the rest of us.. other wise, it becomes less of a sport and more of a commercial.

If she was male, she would have gotten her ass kicked half a dozen times by now.

So many little tantrums, stomping around, lack of racetrack wisdom. She'd be driving with two black eyes most of the time, but she is a female, so she gets away with it.
