No, more like she's an overrated marketing gimmick and the act is tiresome. Notice you don't see folks complaining about Erica Enders-Stevens or Courtney Force. Ironically they should be getting more coverage than Danica because they've actually won something.

I'm not sticking up for Danica as much as I am pointing out that it takes a lot more experience and practice to become a winning oval track driver than it does to become a winning drag racer.

I remember a 17 YO high school girl winning Top Fuel in a National event. That does not happen in NASCAR regardless of sex.

he is not there because she looks like she is the Jeff Gordon of female drivers. Its because it makes money for the sport. Look at the TV numbers for daytona.This isn't your good ole boy NASCAR anymore. Its a big money sport with all that goes with the big money.Ask Kirt Bush.

Kurt Busch happens to be a Sprint(or Nextel) Cup Champion, and the first to win the series once the "Chase" was implemented.

Matt Kenseth remains the last Winston Cup champion and the last to do it under the better old rules.

Mr, Consistency knew what it was about - doing well over the long haul on a variety of tracks, not getting hot at the right time.
