in what era did you drive funny cars? we ran in the late 70s, and the firesuits were quite heavy back then. but to be honest, i might have tried to get away with putting lead into the drivers suit if i needed it, since it wasnt against the rules to do so.

Word out today that GoDaddy is no longer going to sponsor Danica in NASCAR (although will remain a private sponsor).

I guess Danica is going to have to be on the lookout for a new primary sponsor, but I really do not think that will be too difficult for her. She is a huge figure in the sport with a ton to offer a sponsor in terms of positive publicity and marketing.

I always thought GoDaddy was a curious sponsor for her anyway, since I doubt the average stock car fan is doing business with them.

I always thought it was an odd match since GoDaddy seems to thrive on being sexist. I'm sure she can find a better more positive sponsor. Though honestly I can see most sponsors bailing on NASCAR. The stands are dead empty now.

It's not just about fans in the stands, it's TV time. A popular driver can log a whole lot of sponsor air time when the cameras are constantly trained on him......and her.

Yes of course, but that's also dead empty.

Congrats to Jr for winning Talladega!

He wouldn't of won had Jimmie not blocked for him the last 2 laps. But he did deserve to win, so be it.

I agree, she'll get another sponsor in no time. Just the camera time alone is worth it, not to mention the brownie points for supporting women in the sport.

Single file racing the last dozen or so laps and not a single complaint on the forum. Guess that type of racing is okay when Jr is winning.
