The average F1 viewer is younger, so I think the sport will survive a little longer than NASCAR.

I am not surprised. The 2015 race was also cancelled. F1 interest peaked in Germany during the Schumi years, but now it seems like the average German could not care less about Vettel and Rosberg. The latter is not a proper German (or Finn) anyway. He has lived in Monaco most of his life. I think Nico should race under Monaco's flag.

Maybe because his home town is near but plenty of Vettel fans around here.
Nico just announced he's retiring from F1 so it will be interesting to see who takes his place.
