OK, I have gotten over the SB, so now its time to focus on racing. Who wins this weekend? I have to go with anyone from the Gibbs bunch. They seem to have the power and the talent behind the wheel to make it happen. Anyone but a Hendrick's car!!!
Well a Gibbs car finished third. So far, for your picks in 2008 you have a second and a third. They are pretty close to first. (I just had to do it )
I did a lot of reading about the Daytona 500 today.
A few sportswriters seemed to use most of their "ink" focussing and interviewing Jr. One sportswriter stated he was trying to report on other drivers who finished in the top 10,and not just cover the winner.
Interesting that he never once mentioned the name of Robby Gordon who also finished in the top 10 ( one spot ahead of JR)
after all Robby went through this past year in trying to be able to contnue racing, I would think taking one sentence away from Jr to mention Robby's accomplishment wouldn't be asking that much.
Heck, the Jr fans wouldn't have even noticed one less sentence from the lengthy articles about Jr and his 9th place finish.
I considered that the absolute worst coverage of a race ever! Final lap and they are running a split screen with a bumper cam and a driver cam. Pathetic!
