Near 90° in Bristol this upcoming weekend... go figure.
Sure did rain it out on Sunday, I live about 4 miles from the race track and we received about 2.25 inches of rain at my house - a lot of widespread flooding. It was a bummer and I felt bad for the fans. We had perfect weather until race weekend, it is something about the race that brings rain in, it never fails - this time it was due to a pesky low pressure system spinning over the southeast that bought an all-day moderate to heavy rain and unseasonably cool temperatures.
At least they were able to get the race in today (Monday), though it was unseasonably cool but probably comfortable for most). Highs in the mid 70s forecasted Tuesday and mid 80s forecasted Wednesday... just in time for the race fans to head out. :/
As luck would have it, sunshine (scattered thunderstorms) and highs near 90° forecasted for the upcoming weekend, but then it may have been too hot for many. Can't win for losing. lol.
I thought it was a good race once they finally got it in. I hope most of those that came a long distance to see it, was able to stay and watch it Monday.
