The NASCAR of Kulwicki and Elliott (Senior) does not resemble the NASCAR of today.

Hendrick is considering Kyle Larson to take over the 48. NASCAR is open to the idea.

They can think all they want.. It will boil down to Ally. Will they put money behind him and face, perhaps, a backlash?

No, Pockrass says Hendrick is considering Larson.

So you think Pockrass just pulled this out of a hat or got it from good sources within Hendrick?

I think it's a possibility myself and have thought that since Jimmie announced.

Anything is possible, but who is going to sponsor? Will Chevrolet tolerate it?

NASCAR has become incredibly politically correct as of late and with that train of thought I would think you will hear an announcement first regarding where Bubba Wallace will be getting a ride before a team announces it intentions to grab Kyle.

At this point all speculation but just my thoughts.

I think Chevy is the wildcard here, since they did "fire" Kyle. Hendrick of course has a great relationship with Chevy, so Chevy may allow it based on that. But Chevy may not want to use Kyle in sponsorship deals etc... at least for a while.

Speaking of Silly Season...I heard that Bubba is waiting to see if Denny Hamlin will start his own Cup team next season. The rumor is that Denny will buy Gaunt Brothers Racing assets and put Bubba in as the driver. Bubba is bringing a good deal of sponsorship money with him. NASCAR may allow Denny to drive for one team and own another, as long as his new team is not just an extension of JGR.
