I'm with you. Pretty much got into NASCAR the first year that Gordon started and I just decided to pick him to follow. Sure glad I did.

I have to young stallions in my stable for the future, Chase and Kyle Larson.

"So badly".. you realize we're talking about someone who basically ran top-5 all day long?

Missing that bad wins you a hell of a lot of races. I was more shocked at Harvick.

Denny.. It's weird to say never contended even though he was top 5 most all day.. I get your point.. It's just.. Different perspectives apply in the final race. Chase was just dominant.

To have dominated like they did all season, I was surprised. Denny never seemed to be involved after about 150 laps.

Harvick and Hamlin both shocked me the last two weeks. Harvick wasn't totally bad either. He did pull 7th.

With all of the attention deservedly going to Chase and JJ, we need to give a shout out to funny man Clint Bower. Clint may not be remembered for his driving or winning skills, but he brought a light hearted side to some of the more serious personalities of NASCAR.

Will be exciting hearing him in the booth with Jeff Gordon next season.

Clint and Jeff Burton are almost like the same person.. Doesn't surprise me that they're both going in the booth. Both are very well suited for it.

Still miss me some Benny Parsons and Ned Jarrett, tho.

Im going to put my tin foil hat on for a moment and say doesnt seem just a little odd that the 4 contenders were the only ones up front all day. Kurt flirted with it for a brief moment but really Harvick used to own Phoenix ... nobody else was near the front AT ALL !

Like Jr winning at Daytona after Sr died?

Maybe it's just coincidence, but NASCAR does seem to have a bunch of coincidence.

Like Danica winning the pole in her first full-season Cup race?

Yeah, except the odds of Jr winning at Daytona or Dega were actually pretty good through out his career.
