Denny. Assuming he makes it into the Championship 4
I figure he will, but.. NASCAR is investigating the 20 and 4.
The 20.. I don't think anyone looked at that and said "He wasn't good enough to pass the 11"
And, I also think that there is no question that the 4 intentionally hit the 18. I think he even said he did.
So.. it wouldn't surprise me that they consider it a wash and issue stern warnings only.
But.. there's also the possibility that they DQ both the 4 and 11 and.. Then.. MTJ is in? Not sure of the points standings at that point.
but.. Denny needs to win a championship or he's going to be this generations' Mark Martin.. Not that being compared to Martin is a BAD thing..
With 2020 being such an awful disaster for everyone, NASCAR could not have painted such a feel good story with Chase winning the Championship and the torch being passed by the greatest driver in modern times.
Chase has the potential to be one of the the greatest in the next 20 years. Possibly passing Gordon even. It will be tough for anyone to win 7 Championships again...but you never know!
Glad to see Chase win it, as mentioned it has been a crazy season for NASCAR and most other sports.
Tough seeing Johnson go, most drivers I had followed since the late nineties and into the early 2000's are gone now and Chase was one of the few of the younger set that I really took a liking to
