I despise Kyle Busch. (And I try not to despise anyone. lol) It all started at a pre-race thing. I think the Daytona 500 of 2007. They were doing a driver introduction thing and when it came Kyle Busch's turn, he came out onto the stage with sunglasses on posing and strutting like a peacock, arms folded, smirk on his face. Acting like he was all bad and the best thing out there. Ugh. Made me sick. I had never paid any attention to him at all prior to that. (Did he race in 2006? I can't remember.) Didn't know anything about him. But that one cocky, arrogant display did it for me. Further actions and words of his have not helped him any. lol
Used to be, Jeff Gordon was my least favorite driver. Never thought anyone could take his place. Then along came Kyle Busch. Now I actually would rather Jeff Gordon win. lol Wonders never cease.
I've started sleeping during the races now. When I wake up I ask hubbie who won----if it's Kyle he just laughs and says "do you really want to know?" He knows I don't care to hear that--Kyle just does not do the sport any good except he is a heck of a driver. Yes, driving is what this sport is about but to have some kind of personality helps with the people watching the sport! Kyle has turned me off to even watching car racing! Hubbie says some people "watch" the races because of him--probably so....sigh.....
My beef is these commercials! Is it just my Comcast, or my T.V.? What I'm seeing on my screen is a commercial on the right hand lower corner about 25% of the screen! It's SO distracting! We have this week off from racing, I believe. But the following week, I'm going to turn my radio on to listen to better commentators, turn the sound off my t.v. and just look at the picture if something's going on.
It's their "New" way of showing the commercials---supposedly not interrupting the race--HA! It's worse this way in my opinion. You are right--very distracting indeed! They need the money from the sponsors but hey, this is silly!! I guess to many viewers were complaining about missing some good parts of the race when the TV would go to commercials. See? We get the best of both worlds this way. Sure!!
