Six weeks or so away from the first round in Bahrain, now that Australia has been bumped to the tail end of the season. Decent amount of things to talk about in anticipation.

- Hamilton's single-year contract extension (does he - and Merc? - leave F1 for good at the end of 2021?)
- Abiteboul's departure and Alpine's future (kick-ass temporary color scheme, btw)
- Vettel's odds at grabbing the odd win in the Aston
- Perez proving Aston wrong for having gone with Seb instead of him
- Will Kimi race until he's 60?
- How much are human rights worth to Liberty Media and will/should F1 continue to race in certain countries (carryover from the last post in the 2020 season thread)

Pretty sure we'll think of other things, as well. I, for one, am looking forward to Portugal and Imola being on the calendar once again. Would love to go to either venue (especially Portugal where I've never been), were it not for this little pandemic thing we've got going on...

I'm happy to see the return to Portimao, track looked great last year. Hoping McLaren comes up with a chassis that works well with Mercedes power and that the Red Bull boys also have a good combination. About time someone gives Lewis a good fight for the title.

I have no love for Saudi Arabia or seeing them get a race, too much history of supporting terrorism against the west and human rights violations for me, surely that race could be better placed. To me they're the worst kind of 'friend', while they're shaking your hand, their other hand reaches behind holding the dagger.

Not surprisingly, Formula 1 lost almost $400 million last year:

What language was this in and what value did this add to the discussion?

Thoughts on the new liveries? The Aston has really grown on me since the first time I saw it (thought it was way too dark at first).

I don't know how much if any is new or not but I'll like Red Bull and McLaren if they bring a good fight to Mercedes.

Red Bull is certainly looking the part. Won't be too long now before we get to find out if they were for real in preseason testing.

I think they are, and I won't be surprised to see Ricciardo making appearances on the podium.
