Jr., will never be as good as his dad and I think if he doesn't win some races Hendrick may let him go and IMO it would be a wise decision.

For sure they will let him go! You know Stewart is picking up a 3rd car next season right? Its going to be Keslowski, he will drive it for a year then undoubtably go to Hendrick to drive the #5 car or even the #88. It will be interesting after next season to see what Rick does...

Jr might do better as a team owner and promoter than as a driver. I actually wish he had stayed with Earnhardt Racing. He's just not the same without the red budweiser car.

They would be stupid to let Jr go no matter how bad of a driver he is. He sells a s--tload of shirts and hats. That brings in alot of money.

I really hope Dale Jr can turn things around with Lance McGrew and slip into the Chase. But I agree he is at this point overrated. He really needs to step up soon.

I was wondering what Rick Hendrick thinks when he sees all the races that Kyle have won. Do you think Rick maybe wishes he kept Kyle?

Its too late now for Rick, on the flip side though for him, T-Shirt sales have SKYROCKETED!!

And there's like 0 chance he will make the chase. At least now all of Jr Nation won't be @ Charlotte in October

Jr is a real long shot at making the chase. Even if he starts finishing well, he is a couple hundred points back.

He did let a tremendous talent leave, but I think he knew that and has not looked back. I suspect Hendrick simply did not like Kyle, or at least his attitude. I also do not think he appreciated the number of cars Kyle was tearing up at the time either, because he was taking a lot of risky chances.
