After a few weeks of looking, I finally traded in my '07 Yukon for a new 2010 F-150. Been dickering back and forth with the dealer all day and finally we agreed on a price, he's going to wash it all up and I told him I'd sign the papers on Wednesday.

Received a $26K trade in for my Denali, the dealer wanted $46K for the truck but I talked him down to $42K w/ TTL so all in all....only having to write a check for $18K...I'm happy.

Here's a few pics of it, F-150 Platinum Edition:

Well, ain't that nice, Speedy. Looks great-lets go for ride
Sad to say I just sold mine. DD started driving and I put her in a car, but we couldn't afford 3 insured vehicles. So if I need a truck, I drive my work truck-it's company owned

that has to be the best looking interior on any full size pick-up on the market ford really went all they way with the Platinum Edition I would say it is even better the the escalade interior.

Thanks guys!

Really wish I could pick it up tomorrow but I have a busy day ahead and didn't think I'd be able to find the time. The only feature it doesn't have is the Navigation system, looked at another Platinum and it was going to run me about $2K more so I figured the Garmin I have will do just fine. It has Microsoft Sync and a rear-view camera built in the mirror which is really the only thing I used on the nav screen installed my Yukon anyway.

Once again, my "toy" fund is drained but oh well, that's how life goes. Time to start socking away some money again for a few years down the road.

Trlhiker- It's getting ridiculous, I remember back in the 1980's my dad came home with a shiny new Ford truck and I believe it sticked for $13K...not anymore!

NHDave- Looks are subjective, the blue Ford oval is absolutely massive...I think they could've toned that down just a tad.

ShelbyGirl1- Thanks, I'll enjoy it! Appreciated the advice too, very helpful!

Ionredline- Thanks!

Hdwell- What kind of truck did you have? Yeah they aren't cheap to insure but I don't think it can be much worse than my SUV.

Motormaker- Thanks! I will!

Lux- I think you mean GPM...Gallons Per Mile...and I'm thinking I'll get around 15 with mixed driving...probably about the same as I have been.

GTO- I'd wholeheartedly agree, 10X nicer than my Denali's interior and I think my Denali has a damn nice interior for an SUV. Ford really stepped up to the plate and delivered a great truck for a decent price considering what you're getting. This interior is on par with many luxury cars, for a few minutes I thought about saving myself about $5K and stepping down to the Lariat but I just love the piping and stitching on the seats...very sharp.

Can't wait to get it!!

Should note that I also got a bedliner installed for free, I actually do plan on using the bed and didn't want to scratch it up. Might need to call them tomorrow and have them order me a bed cover as well, damn I completely forgot about that.
