Anyone have any recent experience with the new Taurus? Likes, dislikes? I am anxious to try one out - the only complaint I have so far is the stance from the rear of the car. It looks like it is sitting to high, out of proportion and I also wonder about visibility.
Also, anyone have any experience with the new LaCrosse you'd like to share?

Can it be any worse than the first generation Dodge Stratus? My wife found out the hard way backing out of the driveway. Something I'd just as soon forget about.
I don't have any ownership experience, but one thing I didn't like about the Taurus was the overly large center console. The whole dash/console setup made the driver's seat feel very closed in, almost like a cockpit. That's all well and good for something a bit smaller and sportier, but this is a car I want to be able to stretch out in and feel like I have infinite amounts of space. The LaCrosse does a much better job of that.
If you want a roomy cabin with excellent visibility, look for a 2008-2009 Taurus.
The interior design of both the new LaCrosse and the new Taurus makes them both feel closed in inside. Visibility is especially bad in the LaCrosse.
The Taurus is about average in reliability so far, based on responses to TrueDelta's Car Reliability Survey. No stats for the LaCrosse yet, but the data we have suggests it's also about average.
I had brief test drives in both and liked driving the Buick better than the Ford. I suggest driving before drawing conclusions.
Always good advice. In the end it's a very subjective decision.
