I think I know the answer but it doesn't hurt to ask...when you install an aluminum pickup cap/camper shell do you have to remove the factory bed liner to get a good seal? Either one, but not both together, or both?

Thanks

Depends on the liner and shell.

You should pay for a spray-in bed liner anyway.

A thousand times better than any other kind.

Some liners overlap the whole flange, some barely touch the top.

You would have to cut holes so you can clamp the top on.

True. Also some come with indentations for the clamps.

This is a Tacoma factory bed liner. It comes all the way up the sides and over the flat edge of the bed at a 90 degree angle, covering the top edge of the bed.

I wouldn't be bothered by cutting more holes in it, there's already a hole at each corner for the metal tie down loops.
