Some years ago, I was returning to the US from Canada at the Buffalo, NY Port of Entry. Bridge construction had backed up truck traffic and we were lined up on the shoulder several miles from the bridge. I was several trucks in from the rear of the queue. Suddenly a big truck slammed into the last truck, a flatbed. The force knocked the coiled steel load off the trailer (fortunately, no one was hurt). Sadly, the truck that hit the flatbed caught fire from the spilled diesel fuel from his tanks. We couldn't get the driver out and he burned to death. The flat bed driver told us that, several miles before, he'd been almost run off the road by the driver that hit him. The driver was reading a paperback book...
