I plan on trading my Acura TL in for a Honda Accord V6 or a Nissan Altima 3.5.

What do you think is more dependable and more reliable?

I think they will both be about the same, maybe a slight edge to Honda.

But you'll get more bang for the buck with the Nissan.

Both are good choices. But I would choose the Honda because it DOESN'T have a CVT.

If you're coming from an Acura, I'd say go with the Honda. You'll feel more at home with the way it drives, the way the controls are laid out, even with how comfortable the seats are. The Altima is a sporty car, but I'm not a fan of how it rides and I think the interior is atrocious. The Accord may not be as fun to drive, but I think it beats it almost every other category. Also, if you plan to get the Accord, you may want to wait til the Fall if you can. Honda is releasing their mid-cycle refresh which should include some much-needed refinements.

I agree with the majority...Honda! Dependability, reliability and one of the highest resale values in the industry. Check Edmunds for true cost of ownership and you'll choose the Accord. I did and I'm not disappointed.

I'd go with a V6 Altima myself.
