Hey guys, I am in the process of getting my driver's license, and I am trying to get a used car in the future. Which technologically advanced and good- conditioned used car should I buy at a cheap price?

You didn't mention a price.

I'd get a earlly 2000 used Chevy/Ford 1/2 ton pickup. Easy to work on and should keep you safe if you go do something stupid. Plus they aren't fast. Not the greatest MPG, but you won't be driving more than a couple thousand miles a year anyways (unless you are older). If you can spend around $10k, you can get nicely equiped with heated power leather seats, auto climate, steering wheel controls for radio, etc.

This is what I'm getting my son when he turns 16. Can't carry a bunch of people, 4x4 for winter, and I can use the truck for errands whenever I want

The more techno stuff, the better chance it will break.

If you want a car, you can find an older Infiniti G35 (2003/2004) with over 100k miles for under $7k.

What exactly do you mean by technologically advanced? Volt, Prius, or something that has fuel injection and antilock brakes? Budget is also very important. No point in recommending anything if you can't put a number down that you are willing to spend. Also, what is the general use of the vehicle? Commuting to/from school or work or are you looking for something that you can mod or have some fun with?

IMO the best car for a young person is something efficient, reliable and with solid safety features. I personally think efficiency is very important as gas isn't getting any cheaper and since most people will be supporting their first car with a minimum wage part time job, the cost of fuel going to school and work can pretty much eat up a large chunk of the money earned from working.

I'd look for a used Ford with the Sync system.

How cheap are you talking? Good luck finding a "technically advanced" car on the cheap.

What exactly is "technologically advanced"? Power windows and locks? Anti-lock-brakes? 6 inch thick bullet proof glass with tear gas cannons and night vision like on the Obamamobile? I mean what are we talking, you're very vague...
