LOL!!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roadster
A roadster, also known as a spyder or spider, is a two-seat car, traditionally without a roof, side or rear windows.
Most modern day two-seaters have windows and feature retractable roofs. While retractable soft-tops are nevertheless marketed as roadsters/spyders, retractable hard-tops are commonly designated as coupe roadsters.

I have owned numerous roadsters over the years (including the Miata and S2000) but today there is only one truly outstanding roadster IMO and that is the Porsche Boxster. It is pricey at about $50K and up but one that is worth the stretch if you can do it.

Yeah, marketing strikes again!
Since real roadsters still exist (though primarily on the used market) and they are defintiely a different bodystyle than cabrolets (both are subsets of convertibles, as are phaetons), it's good to retain the definitions, so we can retain clear communication.

If you like cars like the mr2, how come you don't get an mr2? 3 different generations to choose from.
