That kind of thinking is absurd and can get you into some serious trouble if you can actually get the car moving,
If you are living in the snowbelt buy snow tires.

Mac i'd love to have you show me how its done on bald tires during the next snow storm..

Obviously this guy doesnt have your skill set

Well I got better than a foot of that white stuff on the ground and a lot more is falling as i type.

Right now my winter rims with studded snows on em are under the bench in the shop. Since i broke my left hand pinky finger Dec 31st thar's no chance i am going to mount them on my cage any time soon, so if you want a summer tire ride, just say the word. My summer tires do have plenty of treads, but they are a tad wide for snow. Oh it's a 1985 volvo wagon, rear wheel drive, no posi traction, no nuthin.

At the moment there is over 6 inches of fresh powda on the driveway too, perfect for sliding around and peelin out in circles. I can do that stunt all day long too, or drive off straight as you please.

Once as a wee lad and dating i went to a beach in Mass for the seclusion ya know? Ha Ha Ha.

Well I wasn't the only one with that idea. It was winter and the roads were just ice. That car was a Dodge with a slant 6 and baby butt smooth tires. When it was time to go a lot of other people were having a real bad time on this hill, getting up about 3/4ers the way.

One by one we all helped push cars ahead, and some people once over the top came back to help the rest. The world was a different place then.

My car, when my turn came was the first one to make that hill the first try. That was no accident.

I went back to assist others, but then most of them just let me drive their car up the bloomin hill.

Anyone ever hear of Wingersheek bch?

I am a x foreign car tech, I began to fix cars but mostly motorcycles before I was 12. I used to race cars for varrious concerns once too. I drive ok.

I live in Tamworth NH 03886 if you want my current weather.

I got 56 k dial up but watched that youtube after it loaded.

1 he did nothing to assist anything..
2 he didn't warm up the engine any, or clean the glass.
3 he didn't straighten the ft wheels a bit
4 he didn't back up one inch or more and get a little run first.
5 he reved his engine into low orbit LOL

You find these things out when it looks like this for 4 months straight

I don't even count that much snow as shown in the video as real snow.

Had it been me i would have driven out of that like it wasn't there, the first time and with no 'production' LOL

OP's car, (tire quality/snow tires in winter, maybe), combined with OP's 'skills', and depending upon what part of what 'snowy state' she might be moving to, will all have considerable effect on the winter driving success she has, imo.
