Jaguar XJ12. It averaged around 14mpg, and that was an imperial gallon! That makes for around 11mpg (US).

Worst was an 66 impala owned by my buddy. Running a 632in BBC the car got a steady 4 mpg on the hot rod power tour a couple years back.

To the guy with the lifted FJ. How large are those tires. Mine was lifted on
33's and got a solid 17 mpg on the hwy and 15 around town

1975 Plymouth Gran Fury with a 360, always got 9 MPG, checked it often. Used to call it the bluesmobile, even tho it was a year newer than the one used in the Blues Brothers movie, wish it had the 440 like the real bluesmobile. Jake and Elwood really did need a full tank of gas to make that 106 mile trip to Chicago from Lake Wazzapamani.

I had a '73 Olds Cutlass that got 12mpg in the city and the highway. Otherwise it was a great car.

Any early 70's USA V-8's, that were struggling to meet new emission requirements.

These engines became Complex with peripheral controls, WEAK, and hopelessly inefficient.

Kinda like anything else the Government gets involved in (aka, public schools, taxes, CARB, TSA...)

1994 Ford F250 ext. cab 4x4 with the 7.5L 460.

I actually just bought this truck for a beater plow/haul/firewood truck and it only gets about 8mpg whether it's empty or hauling/towing something.

Second would be my 2004 Chevrolet 2500 Crew Cab 4x4 w/6.0 gas. It did about 12-13 empty city driving, 9-10 towing a trailer.
