I have a set of heavy duty monotubes on all 4 corners of my '85 Regal. They are the perfect blend of firmness without sacrificing ride quality. Excellent street / highway everyday driving shocks. The rest of the suspension is stock.

Love my Bilsteins, (for a firmer ride). I have some with over 300k (on a light car... all VW Diesels, EXCEPT for a 7,000# VW Motorhome.) I buy many sets 'used' from kids who go exotic on their VWs, or crash them immediately after installing $500 of new suspension.

My Suspension preference is Tokico, b'cuz I like a stout ride, and no Mushy Stuff. (Thus I CAN NOT tolerate a GM suspension). Got my fill of that (AGAIN) driving a 24' GMC Moving truck to Dallas last weekend. Way too whimpy and soggy suspension for WYO winds or curvy canyon roads. (my favorite venues)
