I'm curious as to which new car has the lowest price. I assume it may be a little kia..I'm talking cash money on the spot for the car with NO dealer add ons that aren't required. thanks
MSRP ... Hyundai Accent GL ($10,705) or Nissan Versa 1.6 ($10,740). No stereo or A/C in either, but the Nissan does come with power windows and door locks.
Actual selling price ... keep checking the ads in the Friday edition of your local newspaper for those 1-only specials. Then be ready when the doors open.
Not really answering your question straight up, but your buck buys a good bit more car if you are willing to go from new to CPO or other near-new low mileage cars. Most of these will have a warranty about as good as new, and being only a year or two old, will have the vast majority of the new "bells and whistles".
The last few years have brought out "features" like the tire pressure monitoring systems that I would prefer *not* to have - seems to me, Chief, you can check your own tire pressure like I do...

Just sayin'.
Not only what you mentioned, but bargain basement-priced new cars depreciate rapidly and are often difficult to sell because they have very few basic features used car buyers are looking for. They really aren't that great of a deal.

The local Kia dealer has been advertising the base model for $6,995, the same as I paid for a new Datsun 210 back in 1980.

If it's anything like the Kia Rios advertised here at $7k, it'd take a military, graduate, loyal customer, and financing rebates to get to that price. Which means hardly anyone would qualify for that price.

Yes lots of these low price offers are scams. If a dealer just has one (and it already be sold) he can legally put a big add in the paper saying hes selling for the low price just to get suckers in the door. You get there and quickly learn you wont be buying a car from these crooks for the sucker price.
Well, not so much a scam, but that the odds that someone will qualify for all of the rebates is extremely slim. And even if they did, odds are they wouldn't want the absolute most stripped down model either.
