I have a car with a leaking gas tank. I can get a new one for about $300 plus installation (probably do it myself). Or I can take it our and get it costed with Re Nu for about $200. Anyone know much about Re Nu? They claim it is better than replacing because it will never rust again.
renu works just fine, however it seems the cost difference isnt great enough to worry about, and if time is not an issue, then i say get the new tank. you can use duplicolor bed liner to coat the outside of the tank with to prevent rusting, and to pretty much eliminate issues with road debris causing a small puncture as well.
